Terms and conditions
These terms explain use of the Certarate website, calculator, and early-access waitlist. The site is an experiment to assess interest in a proposed service. It does not currently provide a payment, savings, currency-exchange, or rate-protection service.
Who the test is for
The experiment is intended for adults aged 18 or over in the EU and UK. Provide your own contact information and accurate answers; do not submit another person’s details.
What happens when you proceed
“Proceed to Payment” opens an optional waitlist form. It does not initiate checkout. No money is taken, funds held, exchange rate locked, or payment scheduled. Joining does not reserve a financial product, create a funded account, or guarantee an invitation, launch date, or future service.
Calculator, rates, and proposed fees
The calculator estimates how much you would need in your savings currency for the overseas bill you enter. “Savings required” means an amount to set aside, not a promised saving or investment return. Rates are indicative, may be delayed, and are not executable quotes or guaranteed future rates.
The displayed 0.5% setup fee is a proposed price, calculated separately from the estimated savings requirement and rounded to the savings currency’s smallest supported unit. It is not charged in this test. Any future service, availability, fees, and contractual terms would need to be explained separately before a commitment.
Rate Lock, Rate Protect, and payment schedules describe proposed capabilities. Website information is general information, not personal financial advice. Do not rely on this calculator to execute a payment or meet a bill deadline.
Waitlist and contact choices
Joining is voluntary. The form explains research use and email beta-contact consent. Providing an optional phone number does not grant permission for calls, SMS, or WhatsApp. You can withdraw consent through [email protected]. Repeated signup does not update previously saved details; contact us to request a change. You can use the calculator regardless of your optional measurement choices.
Responsible use
Do not misuse the site, attempt unauthorised access, submit spam, interfere with other visitors, or send sensitive documents through the form. Access may be restricted to protect the site and its visitors. You may use the calculator and read these pages for your own planning and evaluation.
Availability and your rights
The experiment and its features may change, pause, or end. Estimates can contain errors and availability is not guaranteed. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limits any mandatory consumer or data-protection rights you have. Ending the experiment does not remove your rights over personal information already collected.
Privacy, cookies, and accessibility
Read the privacy notice and cookie policy for information use and choices. If you encounter an accessibility barrier or need help using the site, email [email protected] and describe the page and difficulty. Do not send sensitive financial information.
Updates and contact
